OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY

    Helps community members regain the ability to perform self-care tasks and Activities of Daily Living (ADL). These tasks include dressing, bathing, home-making activities, and much more. Therapists assist community members with strength, fine-motor coordination, cognition, and safety for these activities. In addition, occupational therapy assesses wheelchair positioning to avoid pressure areas, reviews splinting needs, and performs home safety assessments to assist with recommendations for community members to return home safely.

IN-HOME ASSESSMENT

    Helping our guests identify and prepare for adapted equipment for safety issues in their homes.

PHYSICAL THERAPY

    Helps community members regain mobility, strength, endurance, coordination, range of motion and balance. They also are able to assist with managing pain that limits an individual’s mobility. An individual’s functional abilities may be limited due to: illness, hospitalization, orthopedic surgeries, stroke, Parkinson’s disease, and other orthopedic and neurological conditions.

SPEECH THERAPY

    Treats community members with speech, swallowing, or cognitive problems following an injury or illness. They are able to facilitate functional communication skills, increase oral motor strength for safe feeding/swallowing, and assist with determining alternative communication methods.
